About a month ago in connection with ProBlogger's contest, which I also participated in, with my article, "How To Not Sell Your Home",  I read an article from, Saving for Wealth.  Jackie lays out in a clear, and concise way the good financial aspects of successful rentals, in her post, "Top 5 Ways That Real Estate Can Make You A Millionaire".

     Rentals are probably the most thought of aspect of real estate investing.  However, something I have learned the hard way, is that unless you handle the screening, and lease enforcement of the tenants in a professional way, instead of letting your heart rule, you will be burned.  A few months of the tenants not making rental payments, and/ or not respecting the property, will make profits "fly out the window."
