An Australian Blogger REVEALS SECRETS of Selling His House

    Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net recently wrote a post that was of special interest to me because it not only talked about how to improve your blog, which is his normal subject matter, but correlated the same methods to selling a house.  It sounds like he had a good agent, because the things he paid attention to were just as I would suggest.  (See my previous six part series on  Getting the Cha-ching. ) He sold the house by auction.  I asked him in the comment section if this was the usual way in Australia, or if he was being innovative.  He replied,...

"here in Melbourne Auctions are pretty normal, depending on what part of the city you live in. Closer to the city they are very normal but on the outlying burbs private sales are more normal."

     I see more and more private auctions of single family homes, here in the U.S., but I am not sure that a home being auctioned has lost the stigma of "being a low price bargain that no one wants."  This concept is not true, but the perception is still there.  It is probably because when the bank forecloses on a house, it is auctioned by the county officials, or the sheriff's office.  Those auctions are held at the court house, or in some states at one of the properties on the list.
